reflection on hamlet

REFLECTION ON HAMLET
Hamlet is a world wide known play. I mean everyone knows about hamlet and of course everyone in the media world has mimicked the famous line "to be or not to be". We have recently seen a series of clips of the same play. Laurence Olivier's had once played the role of hamlet. I think this movie brings the play to life and everything that was mentioned was shown in the movie. You know how they tend to leave movies out of books well I believe that they did a good job. The setting was next to the trouble of seas it was a dark and foggy weather and it just set the theme just right. The music kind of gave it a little suspense but Laurence acting kind of sucked. It seemed like he was just reading of the script i honestly didn't like it. But the scenery was two thumbs up.
Mel Gibson also played the hamlet role and I think his acting was superb. He showed a lot of emotion and it seemed as though what he was saying was his own words. He sort of owned his character. The setting was in the families tomb and I think that's much better. Cause it's showing how he's close to death and how it was peaceful after death well just looking at it from living perspective. I give it two thumbs up.I loved his proformence .
Kenneth Branagth also too played the role of hamlet. But this one was setin the 1800's and the speech takes place in a ballroom type room. He recited his to be or not to be speech in the mirror which gave more affect to the speech. Made it more believable. But it also seemed way to dull and didnt attract my attention.
Then there is my most favorite the mordern version of hamlet. Micheal Alymereyda gave the speech a whole new meaning. This version was placed in a video store and instead of a sword he had a gun. Then instead of being a prince he was a director in the film industry and i think this was the best proformance yet. I mean i really liked it and i suggest everyone go out and watch it because it gives the play the dramatic affect it needed.
